Project Description : Anatomy has always been a foundational course for health professional programs, but clinicians in these different disciplines utilize various anatomical regions and structures with differing emphasis and regularity. A survey was organized around seven anatomical regions with 1,156 total structures. Clinicians in the following disciplines have been recruited: dental, medical (allopathic and osteopathic), physician assistant, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Anatomists have been sent an identical survey to assess their perspective of essential anatomy for students in the same clinical disciplines. A website (essentialanatomy.com) is in development.
